This game did not disappoint as the Paterson Armory was packed with close to ten thousand people finding a way to see the big event.   At half time Passaic was winning 18-17 and it was living up to its billing.  As the article states lightening very rarely strikes twice but it did that night as the “GOLDEN COMETS” as they were now being referred to beat the ‘Wonder Team’ Passaic on a second half 14-4 final drive 37-26.
This 1925 season and the games between Hackensack and Passaic have proven a clash for their age and have and will always be remembered for its impact on the sport of basketball for all time by the Professional Basketball Hall of Fame.
